El Peregrinaje / The Pilgrimage: A Series of Reflections in Spanish & English Dedicated to Experiencing God’s Presence Through the Beauty of Daily Life

From the soothing sound of pattering rain to the knitting together of communities woven together in peace and God’s love, we hope you can join us in considering everyday things with a mind of worship. They hope that their words would allow you to marvel at the beauty of life while also reflecting on your own journey.

La Sobremesa is the Spanish tradition of relaxing at the table after a meal. It is a time to slow down and linger with your loved ones over dessert or a cup of coffee. In the midst of our busy lives, moments like these help us pause to enjoy and appreciate the presence of the ones we love, deepen friendships, and build community. woman-working-in-a-market-enlace

Building this kind of experience in our lives is not limited to dessert. Consider some ways you might imbue "La Sobremesa" into various parts of your days and nights. Linger at the table after dinner or enjoy someone’s company while folding laundry. Play a game of cards. In the midst of the bustle and hurry this month, find moments where you can pause and appreciate your dear ones. Perhaps, do not plan your day with an overwhelming agenda, but create spaces where intentional lingering can happen.
